Happy Halloween...yesterday!

Isaac wasn't quite sure what to think about trick-or-treating. He either wanted to go in to our neighbor's houses or run up our legs in fear. Before trick-or-treating we went to a party at Gymboree. Here are a few pictures from our Halloween day.

Happy Birthday!!!

Isaac turned two today! What a day we had! Isaac started the morning by throwing up a few times. "Woohoo! I'm two! Barf barf barf...woohoo!" Luckily it was short lived and he is back to pigging out at meal times already. I know in 15 years Isaac will be so pleased that I caught his regurgitation on video and even more pleased that his dada was quick enough to move the gift out of the way in time.

I still can't believe how much he as grown. Everyday he does something new. Can this little toddler really be the same baby that grew inside me for nine months; the same baby we brought home from the hospital two years ago? It's hard to believe how fast they grow. Today, like last year I went through the day thinking about labor and pushing and the first time I saw him. Will I do this every year? I hope so. What a happy and life-changing day that was. Happy birthday Isaac. Mama loves you!

Cabinet Install

I've been at my mom's for the last few days so Scott sent me some pictures of the cabinets from his phone. They aren't the best quality photos so the color is a little off but you get the idea. They did most of this in one day! We are waiting on the granite install on Friday before they can finish hanging the rest of them. I am soooo excited! Can't believe we're almost done!

Today was clean out Isaac's closet day. He's outgrown a lot and I needed to pack up or give away some things. Well, knowing how much Isaac loves anything to do with "the wheels on the bus," I couldn't pack up this t-shirt. So, while he was napping a made it into a pillow for him. Can't wait to give it to him.

We went to the Houston Children's Museum this week. Isaac always has fun there but this time he really liked the grocery store display. He and his friend Ryan had a ball filling each other's baskets. Uhhh, Isaac had a facination with the cantalopes...such a boy!

kitchen update

They've been working really hard on the kitchen this week. They started taping and mudding the walls today AND started to tile the floor. The dining room floor is almost done! It's very exciting but eating out is getting really old! Time to thaw out some of the meals I prepared before the demo.

We finished the game room Tuesday!!! Isaac loves it. It's filled with toys but he still has room to run around. It's by no means complete, we need some storage units and I have some decorating to do but for now it works. And as we finish one we begin another...

Today was demo day for the kitchen. Luckily I still have a sink and dishwasher for a few more days. Everything else is gone. Isaac loved it all! As soon as the guys showed up this morning he ran into the game room and found his drill. He came back in ready to work. It was really cute. I wish I had gotten a picture of it. I do have pictures of the new room and some before/after of the kitchen today.

More Remodeling

We are at it again. Remodeling the house is an on-going project here at the Sevigny house. We finally had the sun room torn down and are building a game/play room in its place. Hopefully at least the inside will be done next week (exterior still needs to be painted too) because demo on our kitchen starts in two weeks! My job for the next two weeks is to pack up my utility room, breakfast room, kitchen and dining room. And then figure out how to live without a kitchen for a month and a half. Anyone want to come help? Please? Any tips?

Hey everyone, I need a favor. Please keep my mom, Isaac's Hammy, in your prayers. Her surgery went well on Wednesday but it's been a tough couple of days. Doctor says she's doing great but it's hard work for her. She's a tough cookie and by that I mean she can be a stubborn mule, (hmmm maybe that's where I get it from) but I'm doing my best to keep her spirits up. So please pray, send good thoughts or whatever it is you do, for my mom. I love her so.

has it really been this long?

I can't believe I haven't blogged since Easter! AND I can't believe it's almost July!!! Where has this year gone?

Spring was crazy around here. Isaac had horrible allergies and his eyes were swollen (almost shut some days) for a few weeks. We didn't go out much because of all the pollen. We were sad to miss all the great spring weather.

Summer has arrived and it is HOT!!! We had some reprieve a couple of weeks ago when we took a quick trip up to MA to visit Grandma and Grandpa. It was a great trip! We had so much fun. I think Isaac had the most fun with Grandpa on the tractor. How fun was that. Isaac steered all over the back yard with Grandpa. Anytime he sees a tractor now, in books, at Lowes, anywhere, he gets so excited.

Isaac had fun with Grandma too. She gives the best hugs and makes the best spaghetti sauce and meatballs!

Here's Isaac's Aunt Lynn and Uncle Greg and his cousins Jenna, Bre and Abby I'm very jealous of their beautiful garden. I wish we could do that down here.

I didn't get pictures of everyone this trip. I'll have to do better in November. Thanks again to Uncle Jon for picking up and taking Isaac and me to the airport. We had a wonderful trip and can't wait to see everyone again at Thanksgiving.
