Baptism

We finally had Isaac's Baptism this past weekend. He did so great; no crying at all. He really seemed to be listening to Dr. Simmons during the ceremony. I was so happy that Suzy (Rev. Reedstrom) was there too. She married Scott and me. Dr. Simmons also Baptized me a few years ago.

steady now...

It is mind-blowing how much Isaac has changed in the last 2-3 weeks. Right before we left for Massachusetts to see Scott's family, Isaac began babbling all the time and CRAWLING!!! He was pretty slow when we left Texas but by the time we returned he had become a speed demon. In fact, Scott and I moved furniture around on Sunday so that the Pack-n-Play can be up full time. Isaac definitely needs a jail cell now. While we were in MA he also showed us how he can clap and how he feels the need to climb on anything and anyone that is near. He also loves to stand up. I think he would have stood the whole fight there and back if he hadn't been so worn out. I'll post more about our trip in a couple of days. We have some great pictures that I can't wait to share.

Discovery Green

Last Friday Isaac and I went downtown to Discovery Green Park. They were supposed to be having Gymboree in the park but it had been rescheduled without being published. So about 15 moms from the group I'm in were downtown without a plan. Those of us with babies decided to hang out in the shade and let the babies play. The rest played in a really cool fountain area, which we will visiting as soon as Isaac is walking. We made some new friends and had a good time despite not having Gymboree. Isaac loves the grass as you can see by the second picture.

It's a zoo out there...

Isaac and I went to the zoo yesterday. We were supposed to meet about 10 other moms but of course we were late and missed everyone. We had fun anyway. Isaac seemed to mostly enjoy the trees and all the different sounds. I guess the most eventful thing was that a bird, from the lovely trees, pooped on Isaac's stroller which then splattered onto the poor fella's head while we were looking at the lemurs...ewwww! It totally reminded me of a high school beach trip when my friend, Bob, was pooped on twice by the seaguls. Anyway, here are a couple of pictures of our trip.
