The Budding Artist

Isaac and I went to a Gymboree Art class on Monday. He was less than thrilled and so was I. It was okay but, in my opinion, too product oriented for the wee ones. So that afternoon we finger painted at home.

The weather was gorgeous so we headed out to the backyard, set up his picnic table and got to creating. At first Isaac was very hesitant to even come near the table. I decided to start without him hoping he would join me. He would come over for a peek every once in a while but still wouldn't touch the paint. I then turned around to "look at the shrubs" and Isaac sneaked over and stuck his first finger in the paint. That's all it took. He had a ball and has asked to paint again everyday this week.
